On November 3, 2023, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) solemnly held the Graduation Ceremony and awarded degrees to new engineers, bachelors, architects and pharmacists of the September 2023 phase. The first Ceremony was previously held on October 27, 2023.
On this Ceremony, TDTU has welcomed 65 new doctors and masters, and 3,577 new engineers, bachelors, architects and pharmacists to officially graduate. Amongst those, there are 421 fresh graduates with High Distinction and Distinction degrees. Many distinction students graduate with an impressive 8.0 IELTS Certificate.
Specially, among the newly graduates, there are several students who had outstanding performances in scientific research, contributed as co-authors of published journals listed in the ISI & Scopus List; awarded Winners of the University-level student scientific research; being the “Students with 5 Merits” for 2 consecutive years, etc.
Over 26 years of evolution, Ton Duc Thang University has been listed in The Top 100 Best Young Universities in the world and has become one of the biggest, most prestigious universities of Vietnam. TDTU honorably reserved a place in the Top 100 Best Universities in Asia, according to THE Asia University Rankings. Besides, the University was qualified as European Standard by the High Council for the Evaluation of Research and Higher Education in France (HCERÉS). TDTU also had its 35 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes accredited accordingly to the AUN-QA, FIBAA and ASIIN standards.
TDTU’s students, apart from their in-depth academic and professional trainings, are also equipped with diverse skills to habituate into the labor market, as well as international integration. Simultaneously, the University also prioritizes setting up students with strong moral fiber, as preparation for their conformation into the society afterwards.
Speaking at the Graduation Ceremony, Dr. Tran Trong Dao, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Science and Training Council - President of Ton Duc Thang University, had emotional yet encouraging sharings to the newly graduates: “Be brave to betake yourselves in order to build your own career and benefit the society. We all have one life to live and so does our youth. Therefore, wherever you need to go, whatever you need to do, please betake to discover, to learn, and to uncover your unique way to success. And one more thing, no matter where you are or what you do, please utilize your knowledge and abilities in your best possible ways to contribute elevating not only your workplace, but also your local and national development. Make progresses not only for yourself, but also to not let down your family, your acquaintances, as well as your devoted lecturers and supervisors”.
In Ton Duc Thang University, our very first moral lesson is always “study well to be filial to your caretakers”. The key purpose of this lesson is nothing but to remind our students about gratitude towards their parents, and use it as the motivation to keep going. Gratitude multiplies the value of life, and by seeing life through the lens of gratitude, one will be able to fully embrace the aftertaste of happiness. “And I do believe that gratitude will help you a lot in the upcoming journeys when you enter the life of work and self-development” - said Dr. Tran Trong Dao.
